About C.E.O - Challenge. Enrich. Outperform.

 

The Department of Business Studies at Keshav Mahavidyalaya seeks to give impetus to the corporate inclination of the youngsters and educate them to become future successful managers. Our goal is to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship in our society. CEO is one of its kind event in the University of Delhi that provides a platform to senior school students to showcase their innate creative capabilities and compete with each other. CEO is an acronym for C- Challenge, E-Enrich and O-Outperform, thus the very spirit of this event is 'To stretch beyond one's intellectual domain, aspire for something bigger and better and outdo one's own self'. This event not only provides a college interface to the senior school students, it helps us know the expectations of school students from a college and our course in particular.

 

The event has been successfully organised for four years now.

  • C.E.O 2008 included three competitions EUREKA-Quiz Competition, YELL n SELL-Ad Mad and STREET CRAFT-Dramatics Competition.

  • C.E.O 2009 also included three competitions MANTHAN-Quiz Competition, ILLUMINATI-Debate Competition and HISTRIONICS-Dramatics Competition.

  • C.E.O 2011 hosted a career counselling session by Ms. Usha Albuquerque and was followed by events like ENIGMA- the quiz competition, TRADEX- the mock stock competition, AUDACITY- the business plan competition and GOONJ- the street play competition. Around 30 schools of Delhi and NCR participated in the seminar and events.

  • C.E.O 2013 - The event saw a staggering footfall of over 600 participants from 31 schools all over Delhi. Apart from on campus competitions, online competitions were also organised. A career counselling session by Ms. Pervin Malhotra was hosted. The events organised were:- Illuminati- The debate competition, Yell n Sell, Goonj-The Street Play, Capture Mania-Photography Competition, X change it, Enigma-The Quiz, Online Logo Making and Story Writing.

 

With every passing year C.E.O has strived to attain greater heights. The event was launched with the aim of providing the school students an exposure to the corporate world and also providing a platform where they could interact with college students and learn from their experiences. With pure hard work of the students, it has been successful in establishing a brand name for itself in the University. It has become a flagship event of the department, a day that is full of activities which makes the participants push boundaries, give their bests and emerge as winners.
