Halla Bol - The Street Play Event

 

Event Description : When words fail, your expressions say it all! For all those who believe that voicing one’s opinion and changing the mindsets of people is crucial, we provide you a platform to express your beliefs through Street play. It would help the students explore their creative and dramatic side.

 

Registration Rules :

• A team can have members ranging from 12-15 with a maximum of 15 members    ( 1 rolling and others in circle).

 

Event Rules :

• Time limit for performance is 8 minutes with a 2 minute additional time to wrap up. There shall be negative marking for exceeding the time limit beyond 8 minutes and the team shall be asked to make an abrupt end at the end of 10 minutes.

• Language used may be English or Hindi.

• No electronic device or recorded music shall be allowed.

• Only household items can be used as props (dholak, sticks, drums, gulaal are allowed). For using any other prop, prior permission is to be sought from the event co-ordinator.

• Marks will be given on creative use of props and not on the number of props used.

 

Guidelines :

• Indecency and Vulgarity in performance are strictly prohibited.

• Teams are requested to take care not to spoil the venue.

• The teams shall be responsible to take care of their valuables and belongings.

• The organizers have the right to disqualify any team if they do not follow the rules or are found to misbehave.

• Decision of the Judges shall be final and binding.
