Trade X - The Mock Stock Event

 

Event Descrption : If think you are good at speculation, you are passionate about stock market, you have the brains of an investor; we have an event for you. TradeX, the Mock Stock event at Cognizance’15, is a game that encapsulates the thrill of real time trading in stock market through trading of stocks using virtual money in a virtual market.

 

The game is all about building maximum wealth by investing on different stocks on the basis of hypothetical news and rumours disclosed by the organizers. Based on such hypothetical news and rumours, the participants would have to decipher the clues, unravel the puzzle of stocks, and settle on the best combination of shares to lay out the allotted money on.

The participants are likely to enhance their skills and knowledge relating to optimal operations in a bullish and bearish market by participating in this event as it shall provide them an opportunity to grapple with stock market and observe other participants’ actions.

 

Guidelines for all Participants :

  • Students must carry their college ID cards for participating in seminar and events.

  • Only undergraduate students are allowed to participate.

  • Decision of the organizers/judges will be final and binding.

  • Participation for any event shall be on the basis of prior registration. The organizers shall have the right to allow or refuse on the spot participation for any event depending upon the number of prior registrations.

  • Cross College Teams are allowed for participating in events.

  • Reporting time: 30 minutes before event time.

  • Students are advised to check the event page and website from time to time for event related information.

 

Registration Rules :

  • A team should comprise of two members.

 

Event Rules :

  • The entire event will consist of two rounds, preliminary and final.

  • 15 teams would be selected for the final round.

  • Use of mobile phones is not permitted.

  • Use of calculators is allowed (wrong calculations would lead to elimination).
