Mock IMF

Event Description : A Mock International Monetary Fund is an innovative theme based Model United Nations(MUN) Conference wherein students assume the roles of country delegates and ambassadors and discuss specific real life problems. The MUN is a respected and established event world over, and a premier platform for students to enhance their public speaking, problem solving, conflict-resolution, cooperation and networking skills; all of which augur well for a good manager and leader.

Mock IMF is a simulation of the International Monetary Fund. In Mock IMF, students step into the shoes of ambassadors from IMF member states to debate current issues on the organization's agenda. While playing their roles as ambassadors, student "delegates" make speeches, prepare draft resolutions, negotiate with allies and adversaries, resolve conflicts, and navigate the conference’s rules of procedure - all in the interest of mobilizing "international cooperation" to resolve economic problems that affect countries all over the world.

Guidelines for all Participants :

Students must carry their college ID cards for participating in seminar and events.
Only undergraduate students are allowed to participate.
Decision of the organizers/judges will be final and binding.
Participation for any event shall be on the basis of prior registration. The organizers shall have the right to allow or refuse on the spot participation for any event depending upon the number of prior registrations.
Cross College Teams are allowed for participating in events.
Reporting time: 30 minutes before event time.
Students are advised to check the event page and website from time to time for event related information.

Registration Rules:

The summit is open to students of all colleges across India.
Cross-college delegations are allowed to participate.
The event will proceed according to MUN Format.

Event Rules:

The committee will follow basic Model United Nations rules and procedures.
All the other information will be communicated to the delegates on the day of committee.
